Congratulations to those of you who got in to Harvard early this year! I want to apply early next year (yes, I know what my username is). My question is, are most non-accepted applicants deferred or rejected? And if one is deferred, what do you do? Are you supposed to send in more senior year grades or something?

If you look through these threads from the past month’s postings, you’ll find the answers to your questions:

Also, do you think that the 21% early action acceptance rate will mess anything up for the 2014 applicants?

Thanks, gibby!

By accepting so many kids in the SCEA round, Harvard is saying to the 2014 applicants (actually 2015 - next year’s class), “If you want Harvard, you need to apply early, or you will be buried under 25,000 RD applicants with about a 3% chance of acceptance.”
