Hi, this is my first time posting here, so I hope I'm not posting in the wrong section, but here goes:

I plan on applying Early Action to Harvard, but I'll be taking 2 SAT Subject Tests in October again, so I'm just worried that I may not be able to submit all of my SAT scores by their Nov. 1 deadline.
I know on their website it says, "Early Action applicants: We request that you submit your standardized tests by the end of October. (October 31)", but I just wanted to make sure that I would still have enough time to submit all of my SAT scores, including the subject tests that I'll be taking in October, on time?

Also, I have another question (if you guys don't mind me asking): I'm sort of confused by the numerous posts that I've read on how long it takes to send SAT scores. I've read that it typically takes 1-2 weeks to send SAT scores electronically directly from College Board and I've also heard that it takes one day to send scores the exact day the scores are released. If someone could help clarify this for me on how long SAT scores usually take to send, that would be extremely helpful!

Hi there! I checked Harvard’s application timeline again and it says “If you are applying Early Action, we would like your testing results by the end of October; however, you may submit the November series if needed. Those results will arrive in time for consideration without the need and expense of ‘rush reporting.’”

So what I’m understanding from the above statement is that Harvard would LIKE for its students to submit their SAT scores by the end of October, but if people still need to take the November SAT, they have enough time to send those scores as well. Sorry if I sound redundant again, but if I send my October scores (that are released on October 30th) and Harvard receives it after their November 1st deadline, that’s okay?

The October 11th test results will be available on October 30th. Harvard should receive your test scores by mid-November in plenty of time for them to be added to your file before your application is reviewed.

The November 8th test results will be available on November 25th. Harvard should receive those test results by the first week of December when Committee meetings are still taking place. If the committee is interested in you from the rest of your materials, they will wait for the test results before making their decision.

If you find it difficult to believe what you read on Harvard’s website, you should call them for confirmation.

So does that mean if my application without SAT II is not interesting enough, it won’t be reviewed after the scores are out? @gibby (If I give the November SAT)
^^ Harvard no longer requires SAT Subject Test scores, so your application will be reviewed without them. However, your application will not be reviewed until all required elements of your file – Common Application, transcript, Secondary School Report (SSR), essays, two teacher recommendations, and SAT or ACT scores – have been received.
@sasukeuchiha69 Who is to know? It’s totally the readers’ prerogative. We can certainly imagine a scenario where an application is so un-competitive upon the first read that even with the infusion of great SAT2 scores, the fate has already been sealed. Do you anticipate submitting such a poor application that upon first glance, it’ll automatically be binned? Perhaps you shouldn’t be applying to Harvard SCEA after all?
