<p>I'm trying to set up my email account but it only gives me two options for possible usernames. Do I have to choose one of those two or is there any way to create my own?</p>

<p>Unfortunately I don’t think they will let you create another username, my son had an issue with this. Harvard’s email and IT in general are pretty limited.</p>

<p>I have to wait a few days before setting up my email account right? I sent in my acceptance of the offer on May 1st, 11:57PM and now when i try to set up my email it says ID not found :(</p>

<p>Wow, haha. Yah it takes a few days to process your acceptance through the admissions office.</p>
<p>As for the e-mail usernames, I am guessing that a factor that affect your choices is the commoness of your name. Our last name is very uncommon. D was offered 8 or 10 (I remember a long list) of name choices.</p>
