Harvard Engineering

I was wondering if there were any harvard engineering alumni that could comment on the engineering program at harbard. I got accepted into harvard and my mom thinks im crazy because im still considering going to "Cal Poly San Luis Obispo" (they have a great engineering program). Although i am really interested in engineering, i am interested in a lot of other subjects too. any comments/suggestions?

One thing you should note, is that if you want to pursue a BS (rather than the BA) in Engineering, you'll be obliged to take 24? or so odd courses, out of 32. And you would also have to fulfill 7, I believe, core requirements, plus Expos, plus a language. But, the number of credits isn't Harvard specific, so you would be taking many engineering courses for a BS anywhere. But the one thing that might? get in the way of graduating in 4 years would be the core requirements and other requirements.

But, if you're interested in a lot of other subjects, then the cores might be a good way for you to force yourself to take humanity courses.

I'm an engineering student at Harvard. Harvard engineering is excellent. It's up there with the rest of the top schools. It doesn't have as many course selections as MIT, but you can cross-register to take classes there. Do you have any specific questions? I don't know where to start when you just ask for comments.
