Harvard Engineering

I was wondering if there were any harvard engineering alumni (or anyone else that could comment on the engineering program at harvard. I got accepted into harvard and my mom thinks im crazy because im still considering going to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (they have a great engineering program). I know Harvard is a great school but i haven't heard much about their engineering program. Although i am really interested in engineering, I am also interested in a lot of other subjects too. any comments/suggestions?

I recall a statement on this forum that the endowment for the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Harvard is as large as the endowment for Caltech (California Institute of Technology, you know, that other engineering school in California). I'd expect the program to excel compared to Cal Poly SLO (which, I agree, is a pretty good college) in all kinds of areas, so I think preferring Harvard makes sense in your case.

Definitely Harvard. Engineers in particular would do well with a more well-rounded undergrad education with great writing/lit programs as well. This teaches you to write compellingly, think on your feet, etc., which engineers particularly need.
