I am currently at a CCC, but am not taking a foreign language. I did take up to Spanish 4 in high school, but i didn't pass the AP test, and I only got a 4 on the IB SL test. Will this hurt my chances of transferring regardless of any of the other variables that go into admissions process?
I've heard that the language "requirement" is not really a requirement, but I've also heard that it is. Also, does just taking the classes in high school with passing grades count or did i need to pass the AP/IB test with a 5/7?

Requirement? No.

Highly recommended if you want to be a competitive candidate? Consider the acceptance rate and the level of students in the applicant pool.
