Harvard Interview

Neil what are you doing on here?? :)

Ian, what are you doing on here??:)

Just posted a thread.

...but you already go to Georgetown.

A friend from Oklahoma applied as a transfer to the College and I'd like to see him get in... He is anxious. He's already on campus (living in McCarthy) as a part-time student with an off-campus internship.

..So, I thought I'd utilize this board again to dig up some info !

--The fifty number was just an estimate from her, I don't think they have official numbers yet.

Hm I don't know about that ~visiting student stuff. I don't think that they are allowed to transfer.

igarvey was talking about Georgetown (I know, this thread has gotten off-topic). l think this should generally be a thread for Harvard Transfer wannabes and all our worries. Perhaps I'll start a new thread for it. . .

In attempt to redirect this thread, anyone else have interviews?

I just had mine. I am normally very bad at these and I do not know if this one was any different.
Also, my interviewer was a professional poker player, so it was impossible to read her. Normally I am good at reading people, but this time I was beaten by a pro...

For some reason, every graduate of Harvard I meet has a good poker face.

Just like Peter Griffin from Family Guy - "Years of practice guys."

Haha.

Peter: They go both ways.
Ted Turner: Like a bisexual!
Eisner: Thank you, Ted, that was the joke.

guys do u know if being waitlisted in the freshman process increases one's chances as a transfer?

Just to clarify for everyone, the number of open slots last year were 50 for the fall and 25 for the spring. If an admitted student turns down the offer, someone is taken off the waitlist, so the number of spots (75) stays stable.

-T1O1

T101 - do you know if they are accepting fewer students this year? And by waitlist, do you mean freshman applicant waitlist or is there a random transfer waitlist that they're implimenting?

okay so all you harvard transfer hopefuls who got interviews, straight from my interviewer:
"I don't know if I'm supposed to say this, but Harvard typically doesn't interview transfers, so getting an interview definitely means you have a fairly decent chance of getting in, even though its still competitive."
And I didn't ask her,so she didn't say it to make me happy-
So you can sorta start counting your stars!

Yet Harvard consistently interviews hundreds of pepople every year. ~25 out of the ~250 interviewed seem get in, or roughly 10%.

Let me use my sixth sense: that must mean someone is lying.

Hahahaha.

Just the same old people. Not the person who posted this or anyone who actually has anything to do with Harvard. But I'll be talking to you later. For now you can ask Hanna or N...mom who would confirm.
