Harvard is My Safety

I think your chances are pretty good, Harvard is a crapshoot for anyone, but I wouldn't be surprised if you got in.

You have a 1440 and the URM status will help you out a lot.
Also nice research, :)
Good luck!

how much sleep did you get during school days? on average

Dbate, read carefully. The website you linked to states that undergraduates at Harvard SEAS can conduct mechanical engineering research, not pursue a mechanical engineering concentration (major). The closest thing to what you're looking for is the Engineering Sciences concentration.

SolidSnake that sleep thing is spot on i got about 5 hours of sleep a night for two straight years. I would wake up for school at 6 am and get home at 6 pm from football practice. If you look at a picture of me from middle school and know I have bags and wrinkles from worrying about grades and stuff that probably do not matter all that much. But you do what you do.

Engineering sciences is what the concentration is called but under the concentration you can focus on mechanical engineering and materials science.

Why not MIT or Caltech? Chances seem good. Better hope you get lucky.
