ok so I got an email from Harvard University regarding their transfer policy for spring 2008, what does this mean is Harvard not accepting transfers for the next year?? can someone confirm this or comment on this

Hello,

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept anymore applications at this
time, for the upcoming academic year, including Fall 2007 and Spring
2008. If you will be eligible to apply next year, application
materials will be available online later this fall. The application
deadline for Fall 2008/Spring 2009 admissions will be February 15,
2008 and If you cannot download an application from our website, you
may call the Office of Transfer Admissions to request that one be
mailed to you.

Yeah, basically, the earliest you can apply is for Fall 2008. I imagine you've scared a lot of people with your thread titles (first one Yale, now this). Ha

haha........
Basically, the app. deadline for entrance into Harvard as a transfer is the same for the fall and the spring; which is unlike the transfer policy of certain schools that accept a larger number of transfer students.

So im going to be a freshmen this fall 2007 my starting year in college and I wish to apply as a transfer next year March 2008 for all my schools. Does this mean that I will be able apply and if accepted transfer the next college year or my sophomore year 2008 spring of 2008???

Applying for spring 2008 elsewhere means applying during fall of 2007 (this fall). This is not the case for spring admissions at Harvard. If you want spring 2008 entrance at Harvard, the deadline has passed (it was February 15, 2007, the same deadline for fall 2007 transfer). If you still want to enter during the spring, the earliest time you can do so is spring 2009 (the deadline for which is February 15, 2008, the same deadline for fall 2008 transfer).

Since you will be a freshman this fall, the spring of your sophomore semester falls in 2009. Spring 2008 is the second semester of your freshman year.
