Harvard Law School

Hi, I'm currently a junior in Berkeley...currently a philosophy major...and I'm thinking about changing my major to Legal Studies because the law is truly what I'm passionate in...but I read the "How to get into law school" by Susan Estrich and she says that majoring in pre-law can lower my chances into procuring an admissions offer from certain law schools [[I am aspiring for Harvard]]...I was wondering if this was true? And if it is, what major should I change into that is not science/math related and will increase my chances?

Any additional information and advice for acceptance into top law schools really appreciated!

I've been asking around and I've been getting mixed comments about this...so please help!

The only major that will increase your chances is the one that will yield the highest GPA for you. Law schools aren’t that concerned about what applicants majored in (as long as it isn’t pre-law or some equivalent), for the most part admissions is a numbers game: GPA and LSAT are the two most important factors. So just choose a subject that you’re interested in and can do well in, and go from there. Good luck!
