Harvard or Yale EA?

I know this is early considering this year’s application period hasn’t ended yet, but for the sake of thought, should I apply to Harvard or Yale EA? Harvard is my number 1 choice, but I have a sibling legacy at Yale so I’m not sure if that will boost much. Basically I want to apply to Harvard SCEA, but if I don’t get accepted I will feel like I wasted a sibling legacy that could have boosted me, so I am willing to apply to Yale Early for more boost and then just risk Harvard in the RD round. Also I’m from the deep south, so a little geographical hook, but I’m Asian so that probably cancels the geographic hook. I’m planning on going Pre-Med, but will most likely write Music as my major on my application. Here’s the gist of my credentials

SAT: 2370 (800M, 800W, 770CR)
SAT II: Math 2 (790) - I’m planning on taking Chem, US History, and Lit in June
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
Ranking: 1/460
Senior Class Load: AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Physics B, AP Gov, AP Econ, AP Bio
AP: World History (4), APUSH (5), AP Lang (5), AP Spanish (4), AP Calc AB (5), AP Chem (5)
Major Awards: NMSF (not official yet, but score is high enough), Siemens semifinalist, Siemens regional finalist, Intel ISEF (never actually went the fair, just qualified for it), AIME qualifier, Harvard Book Award, a bunch of national and state level piano and violin competitions, Presidential Service Award, [also applying for Clark Scholars, Yale Young Global Scholars, harvard summer school, and coca cola scholarship]

Extras:
-founded the Music Outreach Program at my school, we basically teach disadvantaged students how to play piano/violin
-Debate Team Class Rep: never won any tournaments but got pretty close (quarters a bunch, semis)
-piano and violin as stated in my major awards, I think I’m somewhere between 2-4 in the southeastern region (granted I’m Asian so will this even be unique?) I’m hoping this is where I shine because I have a crapton of awards in this including Concertmaster at our All State Festival and Youth Symphony, winner of state competition since 2009
-Relay for Life team captain (our school raised over $250k for cancer research)
-Math Team: I’ve never gotten first place but i get a trophy at each tournament I go to plus AIME as already stated
-Girl’s Golf Team Captain since 9th grade

Volunteer:
-teaching disadvantaged students how to play piano and violin
-volunteer at hospitals (over 300 hours)

My summers are basically research in lab and volunteer

So like I said I’m Asian and won’t be applying for financial aid if that helps any. Please don’t tell me to do early decision anywhere, I’m only interested in Early Action programs.

I was accepted to early action to Harvard – your résumé looks more than impressive to get in.

Go for Yale. You have great stats and will get a serious look. Sibling legacy is no sure guarantee but will get you a serious read.

Good luck

Both schools are need blind, financial aid will have no play here
