Harvard? princeton? yale?

Which one??? I was thinking about princeton, but only because it's described so romantically in Fitzgerald's This side of Paradise.

I'm looking for a school with excellent opportunities is art (jazz, literature) and science (bio, chem, physics)... any suggestions?

The art department at Princeton just got a $100 million gift from an alumnus. I’m going to be involved in Theatre at Princeton and the fact that they are really expanding their art department is a big factor in my choice to attend. Im a huge fan of yale too. I see Harvard as more of a mathematics school, but I’m not too familiar with it.

Professor Anthony Branker runs to jazz program at Princeton. My d thinks very highly of him.If you submit an instrumental or vocal jazz piece to the school he’ll be the one who will listen to it.While the school is definitely expanding its offerings in the arts there is room for improvement.Having said that his program is solid.

My d has friends at Yale and the arts are very strong there with graduate programs in drama and music. They are also very strong in literature.

there are amazing science opportunities at princeotn-- esp if you’re interested in them all- you should check out integrated sciences.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but it’s sort of been a century since This Side of Paradise. Some important things have changed…but in regard to your interest in science, someone I know at MIT concedes that Harvard has the best biology department in the US.

Harvard duh. It’s most selective

Are you going to be competitive in the HYP applicant pools?

I didn’t get into Harvard, but if I did I would go in a second. Maybe I’ll get in off the waitlist. Not complaining about Princeton though.

harvard was most selective by .2 over yale.
