Harvard RD 2014 Thread

oh, really late reply.

@ TheAscendancy Post#25
you can find companies that do slides online. u upload digital images and they’ll send u back slides. its costs a bit if ur sending slides to multiple schools though.
i used this site: [Digital to Slides (Slides from Digital files), 35mm, medium and large format.](http://www.gammatech.com/)

@ jobes Post #27
i sent in pictures of my work. had some graphite, charcoal, and oil stuff

Lol it’s sad to think that I’ve spent so much time working towards what will probably be a rejection… And here I am hoping for the next 3 months that it won’t.

Sheesh, everybody cheer up! You never know what will happen! If you check the past results thread, there are PLENTY of cc-ers who thought they didn’t have a chance! :-)

I just shceduled my interview for next Sunday. I’m excited yet petrified. But my interviewer is young, and she sounded like a really nice person on the phone.

Wait- how do you schedule an interview?

Sorry for dumb question, but I made the decision to apply at 11:52pm on 1/01

@LBloom

I guess my adcom just lied to me. Hmmm… :(

I believe it is only international applicants who have to schedule interviews themselves.

^ Yeah. Since I’m domestic, what I meant by “schedule,” was that my interviewer called and we set the date & time!

No alum lives in my area – :/

you guys here need to be optimistic

i am trying to be optimistic coz im trying to prove the “secret law of attraction.”

lol

but seriously, cheer up… TELL YOURSELF, “I WILL GET ACCEPTED”

Stupefy: Wow, I hope you know that the " " makes you seem like a total ******bag.

Haha The Secret was such a scam. I can’t believe I have a copy of the book (from my school’s silly book club choice my freshman year). o__O’

wow, I really hope you’re joking.
I hope you know that calling me out for a freaking smiley makes YOU seem like a total * bag too
and just for the record, the wink was not meant to be condescending, I was making a humorous comment. a concept lost on some people

Greetings from New York!!

I applied to HYP, but am not expecting to get into any of those schools, least of all Harvard. My interview for H was terrible…

If I’m lucky, though, I’ll be part of that URM percentage. :D

^Haha, I applied to HYP too. I don’t think anyone expects to get in, unless we’re talking about superbrilliantgeniusfreaks which I (and the vast majority of us 2014 hopefuls) am not. No one really knows where they stand until March 31…which is in 86 days. If I counted correctly.

(I apologize for any grammar/syntax errors. It’s been awhile since my brain has had to function properly. :P)

Hmm. how is it a joke? do you mean it to be ironic? because in which case, your real meaning would be that you envy the applicant in all aspects of their lives except the application process. I’m sorry, please explain the humor to me.

I think he/she means the opposite of what you interpreted: that he envies Questbridge applicants only in terms of the application process, NOT in other aspects of their lives.

natim1, i’m pretty sure stupefy means the exact opposite of what you interpreted it as. it wasn’t even worded wrong or anything…

Hey guys, I just got a call and I got in!! I think they’re letting a few people know! I just joined this site to let you all know! Good luck everyone!
