Harvard RD Class of 2020 Applicant Thread

This thread is “lit” now :smiley:

My mistake. How are they doing the whole 30 minutes with an alumni followed by 10 minutes with an AO thing? I’ve never heard of that before. Are they both in a room together or are you having separate interviews? I’d rather do this over PM

Interesting. I’m also from LI, NY and scheduled a 30+10 minute interview with an alumni+AO. I don’t believe both the alumni and the officer is in the same room, but they are in the same location/building.

^^ This situation is different than what I thought it was. There is a 2012 thread about this happening before on Long Island.

@simpstuck how many kids does your email say were invited?

Why is it only offered to LI applicants?

Has anyone received likely letter yet?

Has anyone from India received an interview yet?

I mean we’re both from LI so our numbers should match. But in case you wanted confirmation it said 18

@lamont20 If it’s not required, I wouldn’t send a score under 700 in anything. Also - sending a score at this point is a little late.

Yes to likely letter question.

@nondescript1 Congratulations!

@nondescript1 Did anyone you know receive a likely letter already? Because here on the thread no one received one yet.

^^ Uh…two posts up from you?

@Falcon1 Sry, I thought he could be saying yes for someone else at his school maybe.
@nondescript1 Congratulations!

one post likely letter! Congrats :))

@nondescript1 CONGRATS! The hardest school in the world just said they WANT you that’s crazy! Was it in the mail or email? How was your reaction? Anyone else?

Hey guys! I’d appreciate any advice on my Harvard thread- you all know better than me what it takes to get in, and I"d love some feedback! Thanks!

@baller55 Thank you. It came by email. I was very surprised and excited. I feel bad about mentioning it; I am not usually one to talk about such things. I just wanted to see how common these things are (I’ve never heard of them before). On a different topic, are there any YYGS participants here? Just curious.

BREAKING NEWS: The creature known as the Harvard Likely Letter is myth no more; its existence has been confirmed!
