weaknesses - no research, not too many non-academic awards, not incredibly strong community service and only a few leadership roles, no national recognition for outstanding talents, no sports

why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: u can never tell w/ harvard but i also screwed up on my early app. didn't write the "optional" essay (only later found out its prolly not very optional if u wanna get in) and sent in a crappy music CD (cuz i did it the nite b4), at that point had no outside recs either, decided to apply early kind of on a whim and put minimal effort into app. (worked hard on other apps for reg. dec. and got into yale, dartmouth, columbia, brown, williams, MIT, tufts, etc.)

Other Factors: had article published about me in the regional newspaper which i sent in, also kept sending updates on new accomplishments and awards along the way, great interview...

well, harvard's awesome, but yale's my first choice anyway. so im REALLY happy. good luck to every1

impressive collection of acceptance letters, conwoman. you shouldn't care much that harvard's isn't among them, though it could still be.

candlize, i'm frightened. could we be like two photons inextricably bound to each other despite no proximity?
