Recs: I have stellar recs from my teachers,
counsellor and my state team coach!!

For the people going to college this fall, Congratulations !! You all deserve it. For the 17'ers, all the best :)

Someone?? , I am applying SCEA .

What would you like to hear? You have a fabulous chance of getting in! You have a better than average chance! You are definitely in!

Well, no one can say those things because so much of the college applications process depends on subjective ‘feelings’ that an admissions director gets when they read your file. Although you state you have stellar recs, no one knows how your teacher recommendations compare with the 35,000 other applicant’s teacher recommendations, ditto with your guidance counselor’s SSR and essays. Those kind of factors just cannot be answered by anyone but an admissions director reading your file.

If you are smart enough to have scored a 36 on the ACT, you should be smart enough to realize what your chances are without asking strangers for their opinions.

I’m just dropping by to say one thing; just because you live in the U.S. doesn’t make you a domestic applicant.

Since you just moved here, I’m going to assume that you’re still a citizen of India. You WILL still be considered in the International pool of applicants, which makes it much harder to get in.

In my case, I’m an Indian citizen as well. However, I am also a permanent resident (green card), which is why I am considered a domestic applicant.

Do you have a green card? This will dramatically affect your chances…

Yup, I have a green card.
