I’m the only non-beer drinker in my family, @ClassicRockerDad, but I have fun picking up bottles in my local stores.
Both the local Hannaford and Market Basket carry a large selection from small New England breweries.
Another one I now remember also from Maine Beer Company is Peeper Ale.
Also, have you ever tried the many varieties of ale from Ommegang Brewery in Cooperstown, NY?

I appreciate the sacrifice you are making! 
There are tons of good breweries in New England. Try Magic Hat, agree Smutty Nose is fine. DH is currently working his way through a mixed case of IPAs from Sierra Nevada, I’ve liked all the ones I tasted. Our local brewery is Captain Lawrence and they make great beer and are as nice as can be too.
