Concerning Harvard Secondary School Program.
I've been to the site and it sounds great.. a little pricey.. but it sounds worth it.
If anyone has gone can you tell me how a typical day is? Typical class? How selective is the admission process? etc. etc.
Also how would this be compared to Hopkins or Brown in quality or on, say, my college app?
If anyone has comments feel free.

lol. I went to Harvard SSP. One thing I realized is that admissions officers don't give you that much extra brownie points for it. It shows that you are ambitious, you want to experience new things and new ideas, and probably because your a prestige monger and your family is rich. :D (jk) It doesn't give you an extra advantage over a person who had not taken a course at HSSP since Harvard SSP is really reserved for the people who can afford it. Not everyone can take Calc 1+2 for 4400 tuition or 10000 total for room, board, and meal plan.

Typical class for the day Calc 1/2 (8 week session course?), you wake up early, you go to class for an hour starting at 10am and end around noon every single day. After class, you head straight to the library and you study. That is basically it, you go to class, then you study. :-p I live in Cambridge all my life so I don't really hang out with other people who toured Cambridge and went to downtown Boston.

To give you a heads up on the caliber of students who attend Harvard SSP. I'm going to Hopkins, another dude from my class who is from Exeter is going to Cornell, another dude that founded a Harvard summer chess club for HSSP members is at Dartmouth, another is at CMU, another is at Caltech, and another is at Brandeis... Thats about it. lol

Yeah that all sounds about right...
ok i live in Ark =/ and my fam can afford it but it would be inconvenient.. so would, say, Governor's school be just as effective (affective? i never get it right. :P) in showing how motivated etc. etc. I am? ( and free!! :D )
