I am a junior who has yet to receive PSAT scores so I am desperately (and probably foolishly) trying to get an idea of how I did based on college mail. Today my spirits raised when I get the brochure for the Harvard SSP, and the opening line in the letter was something like congrats you must have done well on the PSAT to receive this.
My question now is, from your experience, how well does this indicate I probably did? I'm hoping for National Merit Semifinalist, so my question is does Harvard SSP mail letters just to the top 1% of scorers, or is it much less prestigious than it sounds, like most of the other college mailings based on PSAT scores. Thanks for your input!!!!

uh...everyone gets Harvard SSP mail I got a 204 on the PSAT, hardly semi-finalist material. Plus, it costs a ****load to go to that, it's basically just a fundraising oppurtunity for Haaaavaard ;)

I got a 227 and got it. I think you don't need that great of scores to get in, though, it's just who can front the cash.

i got a 220 and nothing so far :/
