Has anyone tried this? If so, did you think it was worth the price? I live on the West Coast and I would like to experience Harvard courses and life at Cambridge, but the price is quite hefty. I'm mostly worried about the airline ticket price.

A guy in my high school did this and he liked his experience there. I am willing to try as well.

I am really curious about this program as well!
I'm a junior and despite all the exorbitant cost, i want to attend the program if the fact that I have participated in the program helps me get into Harvard.
I know that colleges do not explicitly state that it does not help admission to harvard, is it still true that participating into Harvard gives you some attention or advantage to your chance of getting into Harvard?

The things that keep me from going there, other than the COST, are like the lack of competitiveness or lack of rigorous selection of students, something I heard from past participants. who would say, i"if you pay, you go.."

But i also heard you get a lot of work,, so getting an A in the course means you have some advantage when you apply to Harvard, I guess?

Going to any particular college summer program does NOT particularly help you get into that college as an undergraduate. You can consider that statement general and applicable to any college. If you think the summer program is an appropriate intellectual challenge for yourself and you can afford to attend, you may as well apply and enjoy it.

Most people seem to enjoy the college summer schools, but they won't particularly help you get into that college. If there's a course you really want to take, and you can afford the tuition, there are worse things to do with your summers. But it's also fine to get a job, and in this economy, perhaps wiser.
