Harvard Summer Secondary School Program (SSP)

since its rolling admissions, when do you think it'll be too late to apply?

Patrick: Some classes are jokes, but the Calc1/Calc2 class is very solid. You'd certainly learn as much as Calc BC, etc. However, Math 55 it isn't.

Woocollege: I applied past the first deadline. Last year the people who registered for housing last were put in the best house, because they hadn't planned on opening any dorms outside the yard. Of course there is no guarnatee that that will be repeated...

Samwise, I'm currently taking BC and was looking at taking Multivariable and then Linear Algebra and Dii Eqs since it says I can dual enroll. Do you know anything about those particular courses? Did anyone you know dual enroll? The problem I see with that is they have the first class ending at the same time the second one starts.

I didn't know anyone in either of those classes very well, but my Calc 2 class met after the linear algebra class, and my prof spent 20 minutes talking about how beatiful the stuff left on the board was... every day. I did meet someone the first day who was enrolled in both, but I never talked to him for more than a second after that. (Haha, don't get the impression that he was in his room all day or anything, that's not what I meant.) There won't be a problem with them being right after each other, because classes aren't really supposed to start until seven minutes after the hour. Your classes will probably both be in the science center so you'll be fine.

Awesome. Thanks for the info, samwise! Hopefully there will be some cool kids dual enrolled that aren't math nerds. :p

anybody got reply for the scholarshiop? i had sent out my FAFSA forms, just wondering what i should do next

Hello! My daughter was just accepted into this program. I understand it will not help her get into Harvard. Did the classes transfer to various schools at some point? My daughter would like to go, but I am only willing to pay if it will count towards credit at a school going forward. Can someone advise? I would rather trust someone’s personal experience than the Harvard website. Thank you!

Anyone have experience receiving substantial amount of financial aid?

In my opinion at least, I think that its a good opportunity to get a feel for the campus and Boston and college life. To see if that’s where you would be interested in going to college.

What about the econ classes?
