has anyone been recruited for harvard's track team?

My brother ran track and XC for Harvard.

I was recruited for Harvard track and will be attending next year.

sunglasses-
just curious...what are your times, if you don't mind?

Send me a P.M. and I'll be happy to talk to you. :)

One of my buddies, Jon Wofsy, is running for Harvard right now. He was pretty heavily recruited after running 1:21.xx in the 600 senior year (48.5 in the 400).

when i was a freshman in HS, i ran a 12.44 sec 100m... i'm a guy, and i was wondering if thats good enough to be a walk on.

The Harvard record is 10.19

100 Meters:

Lambert, Chris 10.29
Meeker, Sean 10.86

lol okay i guess that means i'm def. not even close to be a walk on.

12.44? My ex-girlfriend ran that last year as a junior. For our guys team, last year I ran 11.36 and I was the 3rd best 100 guy on our high school team (10.95 / 11.31). We probably had 10 guys under 12.44.
HOWEVER, you probably have improved dramatically since freshman year. I'd say to get a time trial or something to see where you're at.

EDIT: 10.70 is high school national ranking (or 10.64, I think they might've dropped it this year).

I'd suggest you contact the coach and ask ... many moons ago when I was at Cornell walk ons were allowed for track and since the team was relatively small everyone who worked hard was allowed to stay on the team ... they may not have run in many events all (some kids only ran in home dual meets) ... but they were on the team

Got a teammate going to Cornell next year --> 4:34 in the mile, 9:40 in the two mile, Boston Globe Division II Runner of the Year in XC, and #7 in our class.
