So I attended the Harvard Summer School. DO I need to send them a transcript or will they have the records.

My daughter attended Harvard summer school the summer between her junior and senior year in high school. Her incoming Harvard freshman HUID was the same number as her Harvard SSP HUID . . . which led us to believe that Harvard College and Harvard SSP share the same computer system – so there is no need to send them a transcript, as your records are already on file,

On the Common App website, it said to send transcripts for all the colleges/university programs you have attended if transcripts are available. I sent in my SSP transcript just in case.

Did you go in Summer 2011?

I would definitely send it. Why not? Because you want to save a couple bucks and risk them not seeing it?

You need to send it, this is even mentioned somewhere on their website. (but I can’t remember where)
As far as HUID is concerned, it is true that it will be the same as your SSP HUID… if you are accepted. Until then, I am not sure whether they link your applicant file with your past SSP file

You need to read the instructions a little more closely - Sorry but really trying to help here. The H Supplemental Form asks “If you have previously applied for admission to H, including College (first year), Summer School, and/or Extension School, please indicate when and for which program you applied”. And then, it asks right under the line for you to check the boxes: “Please arrange to have an official transcript(s) sent to us for any program in which you enrolled”. So…

thanks for the update. the thing im wondering though is that on my applicant status page my application is complete. but when my counselor called UVA, my application was incomplete because they hadn’t received the harvard transcript

Well, don’t know about UVA but H does not require it - it’s an optional suppleement for the applicant’s benefit.

do i still need to send a transcript if i put my grades on additional info is that ok.

^I think you should, because harvard SSP is credit earning, so you need to provide an official transcript in the same way they want your official SAT scores
