Does anyone know if being legacy helps at all in the transfer admissions process?
Crap. Well, guess I knew I wasn’t getting in anyway, haha.
Did you get a result?
Decisions already? That is super fast. I thought the notification date was June 1st. @-)
Huh??? I didn’t receive the rejection
@booyakahbooyakah Dear sir or madame, you must agree that making such a rousing comment before anyone else seems to have received a decision is bound to result in accusations of “internet troll-ing”, regardless of the unfairness of any such accusation if indeed you’ve received a decision. Could you explain your comment further/confirm that you have received a decision? In none of the prior years visible on CC have decisions come out before May.
i think bookyakahbooyakah may have been reacting to not getting an interview? although i don’t think not getting an interview is a sure sign of rejection…
I searched “Harvard transfer” on twitter and found two people who were celebrating their acceptance yesterday. Did anyone on here receive official notification?
Here are the tweets:

So happy for these guys!
Perhaps those tweets weren’t referring to harvard undergrad? On the same twitter search, a post from Lakeland college (also dated 4/27) congratulated one of their own on transferring to Harvard’s masters of liberal arts program. But regardless congrats to them
@collegekid241 maybe but if you follow the link on that tweet (http://lakelandcollege.ca/academics/university-transfer/feature-stories/maria-sarcauga-harvard.aspx) the article is from November 2014 and it is about someone who transferred from their community college then transferred to a four year college. This article is celebrating her acceptance to a Harvard masters program after she graduated from her second school.
I’m inclined to believe that tweets are erroneous, because in previous notifications came out in early to mid May and all the notifications came out at once. They didn’t trickle out a few acceptances and then send rejections out afterwards.
Also, if @booyakahbooyakah was denied already, I would have expected the rest of the rejections to have gone out.
Hey guys. I asked the twitter girl what year she was coming into Harvard as and she admitted that it was a joke: https://twitter.com/daniellas26/status/593163447363338241
Thanks @Flintr
thanks @Flintr. I am guessing the other tweet was probably fake as well
historically decisions will be done coming out in about 10 days
nervous…
Good luck to everyone, i hope to be applying for a transfer next year!
Do you guys think they call the accepted transfers?
I went back through the old Harvard Transfer threads and recorded the dates that people received notifications.
2014 May 9th, a Friday
2013 May 3rd, a Friday
2012 May 9th, a Wednesday
2011 May 6th, a Friday
2010 May 14th, a Friday
With that information, it would be a safe bet that the notifications will go out this Friday, May 8th. I haven’t contacted admissions, so this is based purely off past data.
