- My essay mainly focuses on how I have been always interested in problem solving and how resources at Harvard could better help me maximize my potential.
Also, I wrote an essay on how I had taken gap year for exams and that helped me grow as a person and how I fought adversity.
In the essay that asked about favorite book, I wrote about Americannah by Chimamnda Ngozi Adichie.
Also, WHy Harvard essay? I had clearly mentioned about which classes I am interested to take and what are the best part about Harvard I would like to experience. And how Harvard aligns to my goal.
----> Have sent in recommendations from my maths teacher and my Analog and Digital Electronics teacher.
ā> Also I have applied for financial aid.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
does anyone know when they began releasing decisions for transfer students last year
not sure!
You sound amazing, and I wish you the best of luck.
I certainly fall into the ānontraditionalā student basket, so it will be interesting to see the impact on my admission decision.
I have a 4.0 from a CC and my HS track record is hard to ascertain. I will keep that private as thats a big part of my story.

Essays:
Personal Statement:
Extremely personal that tell my lifeās story, for ideas of magnitude read āEducatedā by Tara Westover (Who also went to Harvard, because, why not).
Missed Time / Gap Year
Super personal where I detail some intense childhood difficulties with vast consequences.
Most influential Decision to attend your college
I fluffed this question because it was already answered in other prompts, so I gave less intense reasons
Alternative To Harvard
I gave some reasons why Harvard would be meaningful to me and did include 1 other option to answer the question they asked. I considered ducking this question but chose not to.
Academic Plans
Outlined my goals, clubs i would compete and try to join, and my fields of interest.
Post Grad plans
Super creative introduction with my goals and ambitions and desires
Book Question
Wrote about Poker.
Letters of Recommendation from
Accounting Professor, Business professor, English professor, my boss, and 2 personal recommendations from two people who have known me for over 8 years and could detail my life effectively. (One of them is a double Harvard Alumni, and I couldnāt figure out if they weight alumni recommendations heavier than normal ones).
Wish you all the best of luck!
They release around midmay to june.
so do they wait for final spring grades or go off of fall and the spring mid-term report
They go off of what they have and when they offer admission, they ask you to submit your most recent grades and if you opted not to send in any SAT scores, they require them before you get your schedule/bills/etc for data purposes.
All of this is on there website by the wayā¦ (and Iām surprised you didnāt check it!)
The very low admissions rate is really something to worry. I do not know how transfer admissions would be impacted this year. Also, they focus on clearly defined academic need for transfer and proven record of achievement at most recent academic institution.
So if a student has a stellar profile but there is no defined academic need, they might reject them.
Also, all the best to you! When do you think should we start getting interview requests( though I feel like its not a required part of application. But at the end, ITS HARVARD) !
As a CC student, I certainly have a need.
As for your question, I have no clue, and itās driving me crazy that I have not heard a thing.
What is a CC student?
Community college
Thank you for the answer.
I received an interview invitation yesterday with an admissions staff member. So I guess they have started the process, just a heads up for everyone to be on the lookout!
Would you mind to share your stats please??
