they accepted more than they announced to.
2000 was their projection, ended up accepting 2115.
which means that historical yield of 25% would mean that transfer would stay in the lower range of the initial 10-20 they announced,
Probably 10 ~15 will be accepted is my guess

I wish some of you reading this thread would speak up and post your stats! a couple people I know personally are applying, including a friend who took some years off college for some internet startups - they’ve secured around $1-3 Million in angel funding I heard - not sure if he’s legally allowed to disclose the full amount in his essay hahahaha…currently trying to get him to sign up for collegeconfidential to post his stats.

I thought Harvard didn’t accept transfer students…?

They don’t. We all applied to a giant swirling abyss that we thought was Harvard.

Hi, sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if it is easier to get accepted as a sophomore transfer or as a junior transfer? Or does it not matter at all and the school focuses mostly on your GPA and essays?

LOL, RileyJohn!

I’ve never heard about a difference between sophomore and junior transfer acceptance rates. I’m assuming that whoever they pick as qualified gets in as whatever year they applied to. However, this is only my personal persective. I could be wrong.

personally, I think Junior transfers seem to fare well only because the CCs getting in,
Comparing students in 4-yr institutions, it seems like Sophomore transfers are in a better light.

Okay thanks you guys! That’s helps a lot. :)

Ok…gotcha.

Do you have to pay an application fee to apply to the giant abyss, too?

—All smartassness aside, I just checked Google and found out it was only stopped for two years.

The reason I thought they didn’t was because these people were talking about it in the Honors Lounge at my school because one wanted to transfer there. So excuuuuse the hell out of me.

Don’t worry about it.

Just curious, Shannon, do you go to RCC? I was talking about Harvard not taking transfers (near) the honors lounge about 2 weeks before they made the announcement.

Nopers. I go to a community college in Ohio and this girl was pretty sad to hear that Harvard didn’t take transfers when this other girl told her no and I told her I had heard that they’d stopped but I didn’t know for how long. Now I feel kinda bad!

I see, but she probably figured it out eventually.

Man, this thread is pretty dead. Just to toss out a question, anyone know if Harvard accepts the CHSPE?

hey im not applying as a transfer to Harvard but I wish ALL of you guys luck and I can’t wait to read this thread later on and to read “omg I just got accepted to HARVARD” :)

Hi Jocelyne626: Thanks for your interest. I know that who ever gets accepted will deserve it. Can I ask, will you be applying as a transfer in the future?

Lenoradusk: You’re right, this thread is dead!! BTW what is CHSPE?

C’mon people let’s keep this thread going!!!

all clear for hahvahd… all my docs are in…
now is the looooooong and arduous wait…

how do you guys know your documents are all in? Are you guys calling?

harvardhop- nopeeee I am a sophomore at a California city college now and already applied to my grand list of colleges to transfer to.
It just would be cool to know people who got accepted to Harvard as a transfer, which must be incredibly hard to do.

I called and I was told all my forms were submitted correctly. That’s good to know. Does anyone know any insights on Admissions??

Do you guys know if there is an interview for transfer application???
