PM Me! I would like to learn more about people i might be going to school with!

Waitlist’d

waitlisted as well. i doubt anyone admitted will chose not to go

Did anyone send their application through postal mail, and get a decision today?

I’m somewhat sure I got rejected from Harvard, but I would like to make sure. I didn’t get an email or anything? Am I supposed to find out from a website or what?

Steeze: Did you apply online?

wow congratz!!

bye Harvard, hello UPenn!

waitlist as well…how many do you think were waitlisted?? are all you guys staying on? just curious as to how big it was. congrats to those accepted and good luck to fellow waitlisters!

AAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WAITLISTED. YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST REJECT ME, SERIOUSLY. THAT IS THE WORST NEWS POSSIBLE. IT’S LIKE YOU GOT IN, BUT YOU DIDN’T. IT’S LIKE SAYING YOU WON THE LOTTERY, BUT YOU HAVE TO ‘WAIT’ TILL YOU’RE 120 YEARS OLD TO GET IT. FRUSTATING AS FUH.

and in other weird news, my friend didn’t even get waitlisted for some reason. He started a business with $3Million dollars in investor funding. I don’t understand. Back in high school, we actually had a mini celebration for him for having one of the highest SAT scores of our graduating class so his was actually higher than mine. Really weird he got rejected and I got waitlisted lol, although what difference does it make? I’m not getting in. psh.

^^ for Harvard and the likes, they assume you do well academically. Next, they pick up personalities and representatives for their own agenda goal :)

Congrats to all the accepted/waitlisted people! That is amazing (:
Would some of you mind posting your HS/College stats and share what you think it is that got your foot in the door?

Accepted transfers: congrats and feel free to PM me with questions. I’d be happy to put you in touch with others as well; in the past, there were usually a bunch of transfer co-chairs/past transfers to help with the transition at the beginning of the year. Since most (if not all) of the most recent transfer will have graduated by the time you matriculate, a similar program will likely not be in place when you begin at Harvard–at least not with past transfers.

I am wanting to know if I will be able to get into Harvard to transfer next year, and I need people’s honest opinions so I don’t waste my time. I will be applying as a Junior, so I would enroll in fall of 2011 and graduate Spring 2013. Here is my college accomplishments as projected by end of my sophomore year:

I attend Colorado Christian University (private university in Denver, CO). Small school with great networking.

Have letter of Rec’s from Phd, VP of company, State-level politicians, and JD

3.9 Cumulative College GPA

Major: Double Major- Computer Information Systems, emphasis in programming, and Business Administration emphasis in Finance.

My work experience:
Possible internship with Morgan Stanley
Intellidata Inc. (1-2 years) Job as database engineer for business in electronics industry
Internship with investment firm in Denver
Internship with the State Capitol for House of Representatives member
Over 100 hours of community hours in 2 years

Extra Curricular Activities:
-Played Tennis on scholarship Fall season freshman year
-President of school’s chapter of College Republicans
-Freshman class representative and member of research political think tank
-Lead defense attorney for the school’s Mock Trial Law Team
-Financial director of university’s Business Club.
-Director of Marketing for Student Government
-Member of ODK honors society
-Teaching Assistant for professor teaching Business Courses

Please let me know if I should take the time to transfer! Thank you very much!

Incog. I don’t think you will have good chances as president of the college republicans, that might be a minus.

All kidding aside, I think you have a good shot, but with these ridiculously low admit rates, nothing is assured. I think that it goes beyond just being qualified, but rather as compaq stated that you fit their needs. Maybe they want a more liberal group, or more conservative students. These are all subjective things, therefore who knows what they might want. Good luck though.
