Bump. :)

So did you guys apply anywhere else?

When do you think we’ll hear? Did any of you get responses back saying that all application materials have been received?

I also applied to Stanford and Cornell. Well, and some UC’s of course.

Harvard only. didnt have time and money to spend on others…

I havent received any message from harvard but I sent through e-mail my updates…hope they got it

my updates were;

1) Research Assistantship to Professor on Book Project
2) Confirmed for Publication of my article in the fall
3) Info on my past conference presentation paper
4) nominated for scholarship candidate

These are not stellar, but hope it helps

Same here. I wonder if it helps/hurts you if you put that you applied to other schools

<<<<<bump bump bump

a big rehersal next
and a big concert next

a research dataset needs to be sent today - _-
and another big research paper due Friday

****., just realized that I have no time to ■■■■■ in CC…

@hconfidential, where are u publishing ur article?

I just got notified that mines gonna be published too =P

kakarooooo- it’s nothing big haha Just a studnet-run journal on international relations

@hconfidential
ROTFL I am publishing on a student journal for a paper on IR TOOOO !!!

lol that sounds great i am not sure how publishing in a student journal affects our application though TT

hey all,

called harvard today to see how many people applied to transfer. believe it or not, she told me that she couldnt release an exact number, but it was approximately 300 people. im surprised! i knew it wouldnt be >1000; however, i wasnt expecting it to be that low.

thoughts? reactions?

Hconfidential, relax. Seriously, if you’re published, it can only be a bonus.

About 300? I wasn’t expecting that small of a number either. That’s great news for the hopeful transfers here. I’m starting to regret not having applied. (LOL.)

WHAAAATTT???

Im thrilled now >_<

so we have better chance now!!!

they said they will admit about 10 students

so now the admit rate would be 3% (…)

OMG 300??? thats ridiculously lower than expected…if they admit 20 (as Crimson said 10-20) the rate is um…7? I forgot simple math haha…anyways its amazing it would have been far better if they admit 75 as they did few years ago!! I think I will also call harvard to confirm this number…not because i dont trust wellnow but just to relieve my nerve…

@leno thanks! I think at least the publication shows my passion in my intended field

LOL, Hconfidential it’s 6%.

You guys are really lucky that you can apply now. I’m jealous. ;)

THIS IS SPARTA!!!tries to kick open Harvard’s gate, fails

I told you guys it would be low. Although 300 seems too small. I expected 500 +/-100. It’s still only a 7% shot at best haha but we’ll take it!

Wow, if Harvard is taking around 6%, that’s actually better than Columbia and Duke in a typical year (I’ve heard they usually take about 5% of all transfer applicants). This made an already great day greater.

I called the office and a woman I talked with said she does not know the number of total applicants as well as available spots…Hmm I dont know if it was another person in the office who gave the number to wellnow…Did anyone make a call?

Hi,
I am new to CC… I wish us all good luck…Did anyone choose Afo-American studies as their Major???
