Sometimes I wonder if the office people give conflicting accounts of when letters will be sent/received just for the fun of it.

that would be cruel

lol actually if I worked there I'd probably do that.

I'm ready for a "no" just because I cannot begin to imagine what it would it be like to be accepted. And waitlist is the worst because you don't get in but you can't forget about it right away either. Still...good luck to everyone!!!

i think that CX3 is on to something,

there is definitely disinformation being placed out there by schools.

for example, when yale mailed decisions, they did not formally announce the mailing until two days later, and when i received my letter, it was postmarked two days earlier than the mailing date they claimed over the phone

Well, you can believe me or not...but I did get my email notification on the 19th of last year, which was a Friday.

Well, I'm torn between wanting to know right away and wanting to find out after finals are over. In any case, I'm anticipating rejection...but I hope at least ONE person from CC makes it in.

rejected by cornell. waiting desperately 4 a miracle from harvard.

@Transfer617203: My gut tells me that today is the day. Based on my experience last year, Harvard's admissions office seems pretty systematic, so I'd be willing to bet that they go through the same process each year for both freshmen and transfers. Of course, I could be wrong. If I am, I'd say that WindCloudUltra's guess of Friday seems likely. I suspect that they tell people "by June 1st" just to cover their rears in case something goes wrong. It's better to surprise people with an early decision than to miss a deadline and have a swarm of paranoid Harvard applicants contacting the office demanding to know where their decisions are.

i had applied but haven't got any notification of receipt of my app. what about you guys?

i did online

Harvard sent out an email acknowledging the receipt of transfer applications and included an application access code for the website https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html so we could check the status of our application forms.

Does anyone know what percentage of accepted transfer applicants to Harvard are incoming sophomores & juniors?

i hope that today is the day, it would be very nice to just find out and end the anticipation/hope....but i don't think it will be until friday...

has anyone called the admissions office recently?

damn..............I am waitlisted.

waitlisted....agh! its almost worse than getting rejected...a whole nother month. GAH!

do you have any idea how many people are on the waitlist?

is it like 10 or 100?

"because of your achievements and promise, the committee has voted to place your name on a waiting list of men and women for whom we hope places may become available later"

so, apparently it seems that harvard waitlists a lot of people, not like other schools.
