@hssenior5472 I’d send you an acceptance letter just for that advice. =D> Wish I worked at Harvard
How are you guys coping? My anxiety is completely out of control now.
@crimsondream22 have you been accepted anywhere else yet? I’ve already gotten into 3 other schools and that really helps the nerves, because then you know you’re definitely going somewhere
@crimsondream22 thanks, I am from Moldova
@ski_racer not really. I’m waiting for Harvard’s decision before submitting (and well, completing) any RD apps. I know I’m gonna be screwed because once I get deferred, I’m gonna have to complete more than 15 applications until Jan. 1st. Yet I’m so paralyzed I can’t do anything now…
@MaryMarym Ahh alright, best of luck!
Jealous of the Stanford kids that found out today
@studentathlete18 highkey same. Not to mention that Stanford only defers 8% of the applicants so a lot of people got rejected (well, at least they got an actual decision rather than deferral lol). The upside is that deferral is definitely a good sign for Stanford applicants, whereas Harvard’s deferral is a nice way of saying you’re rejected most of the time…
my mid year report just got sent in and my portal says they received it today… guess they’re working on saturdays now that decisions are about to come out :))
@crimsondream22 I like to keep myself busy. For example, I’m training for the olympiads coming up, finishing up my high school thesis, learning Python even better (switching to C++ soon), buying Christmas gifts, learning more card tricks, finishing up other applications/financial aid forms et cetera. Keeping myself busy really takes my mind off Harvard. Also, I’m guaranteed admission to a top 50 university so that’s helping too. I don’t really think about Harvard when I’m doing other stuff, which is great, because the more I think about Harvard and all of the admissions stuff, the more anxious I get lol.
Good luck all!
@crimsondream22 Same here. Trying to study for a physics test and it’s going terribly, as evidenced by my presence on this forum lol. Any tips for staying calm are welcome :).
Where did we get the information that decisions would be released on Tuesday?
Also how many supplement materials did you guys upload?
It’s been posted here many many times. Bill Fitzsimmons, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, gave the date in an article with The Harvard Crimson.

When will we know how many people apply SCEA to Harvard?
As with past years, I would assume it will be in the press release issued the day after decisions are announced.
I’ve found that pretending I’ve already been rejected helps–if I get accepted, it’s a positive surprise; otherwise, nothing changes.
I am taking that approach as well. Plus, if I get rejected, I won’t have to take part in the dare my friends set out for me. So I win either way.
I have been throwing all my focus into schoolwork as of right now, as I have plenty of tests to study for and it helps to take my mind off the decision. Also, lots and lots of vine compilations. They soothe the soul.
Guys, has Harvard released the official dates?
12th (Tuesday)
