@nijusohc Haha yep! I’m glad… my grades are trash but everything else is fairly interesting for my case
@tiffsworld Best of luck!! I have a couple friends who ED’d from that area as well!
@oRcHiD4 That is fantastic and likely a big spike for your application. Yes he made NM but I don’t think that will be any factor in getting into Harvard. I referenced it only in regards to the Benaquisto scholarship and you being in Fl. Even without the Bright Futures makes a college like UF almost unbeatable for cost and if you add in the honors program it’s a fantastic option for top HS kids in the state.
@moscott Hi! FL person here! I 100% agree. BF and UF honors is an amazing option for students. Harvard or not, it’s nice knowing that I have an amazing option right here in my home state.
@maybeyale19 that’s exactly how I feel about Umass Amherst honors
@MaybeYale19 @lilyfullford Exactly! It’s difficult to imagine that most kids who are applying to Harvard don’t have fantastic options with schools like that as examples. A lot of kids are putting way too much emphasis on getting into Harvard or bust thinking imo.
@avani21 oh yeah I always had that.
Think Harvard as a reach school and a lottery, then you might feel calmer. If I buy a lottery ticket, I don’t want to know the lottery result right away. I’d rather hold on to the ticket for few more days thinking that maybe I won. So, don’t rush to crush your hope too soon like most Stanford wannabes will be later today. Let it be next Tuesday or Thursday, or whenever Harvard chooses.
do you think it’s okay if my intellectual activity supplement is about a project i haven’t finished yet? it is something i’ve spent a lot of time on.
@dreamthief001 the way I see it, that writing supplement gives almost infinite possibilities for anyone to write about. whether something is finished or not, they want to see who you are as a person so I think its fine
@nijusohc is it bad if you did not write anything in it?
it meaning the intellectual activity
Hi there –
I’m a graduate of the College and an advisor to the Admissions team.

I’m nearly certain that decisions will be released on Dec 13 at 7pm EST.
Yale is going to be released 12/11 and Princeton will be released on 12/12.
Doesn’t it make sense that they’ll just be 11-12-13? I could be wrong, but it just makes too much sense.
Hi @yougotrejected ,
My son is a a current senior and is applying to the College. He has a 1600 SAT, 5’s on all of his AP’s, and a 5.0 GPA on a 4-point scale. Will he get in?
Yeah it’s definitely (probably) the 13th at 7 PM
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
No you’re not. You’re a troII and I banned you.
Hi there!
I’m also an Admissions team member (and a big fan of James Joyce!) and I can confirm that you banned a standing Admissions advisor. Please end your sentences with periods – just a thing that admitted students do!
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
You’re not a parent. You’re a troII and I banned you as well.
@skieurope in your opinion, do you think it’s bad if you did not include anything in the “additional intellectual activities (ones that you have not specified elsewhere in the application)?”
