Schrödinger’s decision ultimately became a rejection lol… Congrats to anyone who will find out or found out that they got in!
I broke down and checked. I was rejected as well, but congrats to everyone for attempting!
Does anyone know how many people were waitlisted?
Also for whoever asked for stats
I was waitlisted and I had a 1560 SAT, 4.76 weighted high school GPA, 4.0 unweighted high school GPA, 4.0 college GPA
National Merit Finalist, National AP Scholar, Deans List
Youngest student to place (2nd) at Harvard’s National Collegiate Research Conference (after developing my own research project independently)
Strong ECs
I loved my essays what can I say lol
(Hopefully) strong letters of rec
It really is a lottery. I just hate that I still have a glimmer of hope for the waitlist
@ireadtoomuch sorry for the rejection, but I’m glad you looked! I hope the next decisions will be a lot better for you!!
Harvard transfer applicant here too. I wasn’t surprised by my rejection. It really is a crapshoot. And I’m sure my chances of getting accepted got even slimmer when I sent Harvard a letter calling them out on their unethical admissions practices in the wake of the college cheating scandal, but W H A T E V E R. I had nothing to lose.
@hoothoot5 Good on you for calling them out, I like a person who calls out BS when they see it.
Hey, thank you @zs2019transfer and I just want to let you know I stan and I would die for you
@hoothoot5 lol thank you, that made my day ?
Has anyone not received a decision yet? I have not yet heard from anyone at the Harvard Admissions office.
Has anyone been offered an interview?? with ad officeR??
Hello guys. I just had an interview (I’m on the waitlist) for my transfer admission. It went so well. But I don’t know what it means. Can someone shed some light on this, please?
@Rod0000 It means that there’s a small chance that you’ll be accepted.
I got in!!!
Does anyone know when waitlist decisions will be finalized? Got on the waitlist in early May, but haven’t heard anything from Harvard since.
For posterity, the waitlist closed today (July 12) so approximately 2 months after decisions. Harvard said about 1600 people applied for 12 spots which is in line with expectations. Moreso than for freshman apps, the release letter made it clear that waitlisted students were strong candidates and seriously considered. A little disappointing to be released, but there are other equally great schools out there. Roar, Lion, Roar
