Yeah, your GPA and scores are decent, but your ECs are a bit weak, but you definitely have a pattern which is very good. Course rigor is awesome and definitely makes up for having a decent GPA. You sound like me, someone who really enjoys learning. YIG is awesome, and your newspaper internship is great. Besides that, they are a little weak. Your volunteer hours are around what most other applicants have. Also it doesn’t matter your schools sports reputation. If you are insinuating that you are better than those D1 recruits, then why are you not one? Not saying your cocky, but the captain is the best or at least one of the best players on the team. Your URM status will help definitely. Cornell is low reach/high match, as your stats are around average for their acceptances, but ECs are a bit more weak. As for UofC, it could range from low reach to high reach depending on essays. Harvard and Yale are high reaches as for everyone, but URM acceptance is even more random than regular so deff apply. Good Luck.
