Where should I study of those two as an undergraduate? And most importantly, why?? Assuming I was admitted to both, of course.

This is one of those problems that tends to resolve itself. Because of this part:

If you’re trying to decide where to apply early, that’s something there’s probably advice for here, but your hypothetical probably isn’t going to elicit it without that information.

Look, Cornell is probably ranked higher than Harvard but what does it matter? You would do well coming out of either school with a CS degree assuming your grades were good. No one can tell you which school is right for you because it is a subjective and personal decision. You should try to visit both schools and see where you think you would be most happy. There are many differences between the two schools.

If you are super serious about CS and going to a top-ranked program then you should be looking at MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, or Berkeley. I’m sure you already know this, however.

Best of luck. Hope you’re faced with having to make this difficult choice between the two.
