<p>I’ll be applying to both, and if I get into either of them, then that university is now the best in my eyes purely for accepting me.
To me, Harvard will always be more well-known in general, but only people like random32301 that have attended both universities truly have a perspective on what it is like to enroll at either institution.</p>
<p>My personal opinion however, is that Stanford has better weather, a more enjoyable campus, and a more open-minded feel. Harvard seems a lot more prestigous, “awe inspiring” (famous campus/Harvard Yard), and rigid. Both have merits, I also think a lot of what either school feels like depends on who it is evaluating it. Someone from California going to Stanford would have the same old weather, but going to Harvard would be a massive change in lifestyle, possibly better or worse.</p>
