<p>Ivy athletes have to hit a minimum academic index which is more stringent than a scholarship athlete at Stanford must meet. Therefore, Stanford can generally put a more competitive team on the field since they have a larger pool from which to draw.
Academically, they’re both top shelf. If I were pursuing econ, law or medicine I would probably choose Harvard (in the unlikely case that they would have me), and I would choose Stanford for engineering and comp sci. Although, H students can take MIT classes, too…but Palo Alto is warmer…</p>
