So guys we have seen a lot of students who got in both of these schools! And a lot that got waitlisted by both of them!Or that got in one and waitlisted in the other! So, let us in this thread declare which university we are going to of these two! And in the end we can gather the results and see who wins!Lets begin! I got wl in both and if accepted going to harv!!

why not just start a poll and see which university is more popular, that is if such information is even relevant. if we continue with this thread there will be many tedious cliche posts that serve no purpose and will only confuse the reader. if you really want to help why not have a thread where each person posts his own opinion on either university without debating others’ opinions and then any visitor can gather potentially useful information that may help him with his decision. if you want the fun part of it, just start a poll. otherwise go to the U.S New and World Report site for more information lists that range from best schools to the top dream schools.

how can i start a poll?that wud be nice…

At this point I’m almost 100% positive I’ll be turning down the Harv. sigh…

Pretty sure I’m going to Harvard.

Undecided about Harvard and Yale.

I think I would be happier at Yale, but I would probably be more motivated at Harvard. Parents are also pressuring me about Harvard, making turning it down even harder.

midaji go to Yale for undergrad.at least thats what i wud like to do.

Aren’t you just trying to get off H’s waitlist? :p

You said in your first post that you would go to Harvard, and now you say Yale?

im so glad princeton and yale rejected me, now i won’t have any trouble choosing harvard. tufts said no too! just goes to show how unpredictable the whole process is

YAAAAAAAAY HARVARD
GO CRIMSON!!! :D:D:D

midaji, yes you are right i wud like to get of yale wl but i wud prefer getting of harvard!!
let the future show…but were are u going since you have the chance to choose now and u dont have to wait?is there a chance that u go to another school so that u can leave a spot in both harvard and yale??:P

I love Yale but Harvard gave me way better financial aid…hmmm.

"I love Yale but Harvard gave me way better financial aid…hmmm. "

Haggle Time :]

I’ll prolly turn down Yale for Harvard.

Hm, Yale gave me a better package… that, plus my irrational preference for all things blue and the fact that I look horrible in red, means that I’ll be headed to New Haven this fall.

Hmm…that’s a very valid point. Certain shades of red scares me for some reason. I love blue, it’s a mellow color. I’ll have to keep this in mind when I start applying…

Hey Congrads to everyone. Trust me, I go to Yale, Yale is a better campus and has better students then Harvard. I know a lot of people might get a little more money to go to Harvard but believe me that couple hundred of dollars won’t make up for the stuck up people you will have to deal with. You will be happier at Yale, it is more fun and is not as demanding/filled with pressure as Harvard

Also, if you tell the admissions office at Yale that you might need a little more money to attend, they might give you more. My roommate did that. I know a couple of people for go to Harvard and they all say when they visit they wish they went to Yale.

This decision really shouldn’t come down to money for anyone. If Yale gave you way more money than Harvard and you want to go to Harvard instead (I dunno why :P), then contact the adm. office and tell them you want to go but Yale gave you more money. Similarly, if Harvard gave you way more money than Yale and you want to go to Yale instead (makes sense
), then contact the adm. office and tell them you want to go but Harvard gave you more money. Point being, both schools have enough money that they should be willing so that you don’t go to one vs. the other for financial reasons.

Yale is better for undergrad. It is as simple as that.

Good point about money - I think the financial aid should end up comparable at H and Y after negotiation.

LOL stop smoking good sir. Since when did gothic architecture + New Haven = good campus? As for better students, well if you want to be a lawyer or an English major then I guess so, otherwise I’m still lolin.
