anyone hear anything?

Nope
Actually common app will be out tomorrow so I guess i should try harder next year

anyone?

they said they'll reply by july but we're already pretty well into july

Why is this on the transfer board?

because this is the transfer waitlist, not the freshman waitlist

its pretty late into the summer, the fact that they are still keeping you on the waitlist might be a good sign, at least it probably means that they still haven't entirely filled the transfer class.

best of luck!

I got a letter today from Harvard saying that NO ONE was admitted from the waitlist this year. Looks to transferapp incredulously

benjiness: what exactly did the letter say and could you plz tell me when it was dated.....thank you

The letter is dated July 12th. The first paragraph, the only one with any real information, rather than reassurance and explanation, reads "I am very sorry to report that we will not be able to offer you admission from the waiting list as a transfer student during the academic year 2007-08. A very high percentage of students admitted in May have indicated they plan to enroll at Harvard College. As a result, no one from the waiting list can be admitted."

Four standard thanks-for-applying-anyway-what-college-you-go-to-never-matters-as-much-as-what-you-achieve-wherever-you-are paragraphs follow.

that is pretty shocking, i am surprised they would write something like that.

in their defense, transferapp you were already accepted and therefore no longer on the waitlist....it means that none of the people still on the waitlist on july 12 are accepted...trick on words

hahaha. sneaky.

i recently got a letter as well, but it said that although all of the admitted transfer students had accepted, they're leaving me on the waitlist in case a spot opens up..anyone else get this? what do you make of it?...

awme4 can i ask what exactly the letter said and when it was dated? thanks

Awme.

If I had to guess, I would say that you are on a waitlist for spring admission in case any spots open up during the fall semester - which is a possibility... People drop out, take leaves of absence etc...
