For a Harvard applicant, how would you rank my chances in view of my grades? (assume my EC's are OUTSTANDING and my test scores are all 770+ and 5's - because this is the case and there's no point giving it all in detail here)

This kid is a troll. He's a junior and most of his stats are estimates, especially his senior grades. His ECs are good, but not outstanding. His hook is something he didnt do during high school :).

Personally, I don't mind, I'll answer questions like that. Just don't ask me if that one B+ is going to get you auto-rejected. I hate that stuff.

ok, it's about time I put an end to these stupid remarks.
I am actually a Junior in high school, as you've said.

Most of my stats are therefore THEORETICAL;
the same goes for much of my EC list.

My scores however, are not theoretical, I've taken my SAT reasoning test and 4 SAT II's.

All I want is speculation with regard to my theoretical stats. If I were to say that these were theoretical, I would have idiots like you, Sevendust, who would say : "ahhh Junior, go watch Telletubies". What the hell do you think I'm doing? trying to brag to a bunch of people I don't know? jeez.

So there, you now know that I am a Junior.
Be taht as it may, however, I still want some feedback from people on this site with regard to what I am aiming for.

BTW, Brandeis has turned itself into an excellent university and you should seriously consider it as a "fallback" option. Brandeis was high on my list, though it doesn't have an engineering program.

Again, as I've said before, it does not make a bit of difference what I've said in the past. All previous threads I've posted expressed ideas I WAS TRYING TO EXPLORE. My interest here is to receive some advice from people with experience and knowledge in the college acceptance world.

So, if you please, give me feedback with regard to my grades.
Assume that my EC"S are extraordinary (trust me, I am already on the right track in this field) and that my scores are equally great.

Will these grades suffice in the eyes of Harvard?

If you have near perfect grades, incredible scores, off-the-chart ECs, tearjerker essays, and godly recs, you should have no problem being admitted.

However, that is something few people have - many people are outstanding; but being outstanding w/in the Harvard applicant pool puts things in an entirely different perspective.

Clueless applicants with theoretical and speculative statistics soliciting even more theoretical and speculative admission chances from strangers and other applicants equally clueless. This is what CC chances threads have amounted to. O what a sea of futility in which we swim! If CC is to be saved from this pointlessness, the silly institution of the chances threads must be abolished.

PorSK, will a really bad grade get you auto-rejected? I mean a really bad grade. a really really really really bad grade. i'm too ashamed to even reveal it. i mean 3 bad grades that will be replaced. everything else in the applicant's packet is good. what if it's just that one year that killed her/him?

will any thing get the applicant auto-rejected?
