Harvard Yale Princeton only!

Those are the only 3 schools I applied to but I'm pretty confident I'll get into at least one if not all

Stats:

Rank: 1/171 (Based on weighted average)

SAT:
780 M, 800 CR, 680 W

SAT II:

EC:

No safeties? Wow, you are willing to risk. i think that you have good chances but still you always have to have a back up plan, in my opinion.

Are you White and a Non-Legacy? Because if you are, I think you should seriously consider applying to at least a few matches and safeties. I would consider HYP a reach for you, and you may find yourself empty-handed if you do not apply to a few other schools.

Your grades are fantastic, and you seem to be taking hard classes, and your language skills are rare, but your EC's look lacking.

Can you still apply to other schools?

Not to burst your bubble, but I think you screwed yourself over. No one can ever be sure he/she can get into HYP.

Wow, and your GC and parents agreed to your risky plan?

There was a longish thread on another board about an outstanding student (stats as good as yours, plus good ECs) who applied to lots more places and got in nowhere. There are kids with perfect SATs who get rejected to HYP.

Find yourself a nice safety with rolling admissions that are still taking applications. Then cross your fingers!

Or is this a gag post ...

Troooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooll. 1 post, COME ON! (AD reference)

5% chance at each.

If a troll: You're definitely in, and I'm willing to bet you get merit money.

If you're serious: I don't think you have that great of a chance at any of them. Your grades and scores are good but not exceptional. Your ecs are certainly lacking (although I realize it's difficult with frequent moves), and nothing really stands out.

Come on... warblers was the first to spot this troll, after 7 replies? Well good job warblers.

That being said, trolls are imaginary and don't go to college. Nice try though, it certainly wasn't a bad troll, but you could have done better.

Haha okay okay I made this up for a classmate (a real one, all of this information is real) and left out the minor details that he applied to and was accepted Harvard SCEA, and had planned to apply to Tufts and UF if not accepted to Harvard early. I just wanted to see what people would say his chances were when I already knew the result

he probably got in because of he knwos all those languages

I smell, is it a......TROLL!?!??!?!

Your SAT is a little low, and I don't see how a 94.7 translates into a 3.97. Also, you're lacking in EC's. I'd definetly get some safeties.

what's TROLL?

Here's a discussion of internet trolls: http://members.aol.com/intwg/trolls.htm

One example -- It is posting untrue information (like claiming to be someone you aren't or changing relevant information [like which schools were going to be applied to]) to try to get people to waste their time answering you.

It is not nice. Haha, indeed.

We only have the OPs word for the ECs. And the languages could have been a persuasive factor if relevant to the desired field.

oh ok i got it. thanks!
