Harvey Mudd Decisions

@tyflosion: you commented:

“In state decision is out. My son was denied. Looks like a 5% acceptance rate this year.”

Could you tell us where the statistic of 5% acceptance rate come from?

@4kids2graduate It’s 13.8% this year (as stated in my rejection email), which is a huge drop from the 19.2% last year. However, considering the factor of self-selection by Harvey Mudd applicants, it is likely equally as difficult to get into as a 5% acceptance rate school.

Accepted! I just got their acceptance in the mail - the package is so adorable! I also got a personal comment from the Vice president - which is a nice touch :)

@breadcleaner

“Ethnicity: Asian/African.”

That’s why you got in.

@TZK203
Are you sure it was his ethnicity?
Maybe it was his religion: muslim
Maybe it was his athletics: tennis, track
Maybe it was his art: film directing
Maybe it was his SAT math test score: 800
Maybe it was his home state: Texas
Maybe it was his essays: dreamy

Mom2kids. Your response was perfect and spot on. What an ugly conclusion you reached TZK203. Congrats on your admission breadcleaner! You sound like a perfect Mudder!

@mom2kids. Perfect.
Congrats @breadcleaner. If HM is your final choice, have a great time in Claremont!

@Mom2kids

You have no idea, either, because tomwantssnow has a bloody ton of credentials that make him look like some type of godlike leader who takes advantage of opportunities–plus he has academic credentials similar to breadcleaner.

Any tips on getting into HMC?
