My son was deferred at Harvey Mudd under Regular decision. What are my chances?
how are we supposed to know without any stats? Anyways going with the general probability, his chances are low (less than 10%) of getting in from the waitlist
Google the Harvey Mudd Common Data Set I think there is a section in there on the waitlist. You can see how many waitlisted students they had and how many got accepted.
I read last year 530 students got waitlisted, 340 students opt-in the waitlist, and 12 got accepted. Not promising!
Yield can vary from year to year, though. The odds could be better this year. Be sure your D shows interest, @gratefulmama. Email any new accomplishments to admissions, and let them know that she is still really hopeful to get in.
@intparent - She did. Thank you!
Crossing fingers for your dd @gratefulmama and ds @melaniev!
My D got in! We are completely surprised and overjoyed! Waiting for the FA package to see if we can make it work.
