I auditioned on the 19th of February, and all of the friends I auditioned with have received their rejections already. I know they said no news is good news, but I am still convinced I didn't get in because I didn't get a call back. I'm just confused. Based on forum discussions I always thought no callback meant you're out, so should I be expecting a rejection soon? SO CONFUSED!

I should add that my friend received his rejection about 3 days ago. We live near each other and we live in NYC which is only 15-30 min away from Purchase, NY. I’m so confused.

I auditioned on the 12th and recieved my rejection on the 27th. If you were rejected, I would expect it to come early next week.

Okay, thanks! I’m just confused because I auditioned the same day as a boy in my music theory class and he already received his rejection. Wouldn’t mine be sent in the same batch? I just don’t like waiting especially when I am pretty sure of what the outcome will be. blerg.

Not to jinx it or anything, but you know there IS a possibility that you were accepted or waitlisted.

I hope there is a chance! If I don’t receive anything by the end of next week then I will allow myself to get my hopes up by just a little bit. I just assumed that no callback meant no, but maybe that was just me reading too much into some of the posts in this forum.

I auditioned on Feb. 12th as a walkin L.A. and last wen got a email from admissions saying the theatre department wanted to know if I had changed my application to acting yet do not no what that means?

When you first applied did you put down BA Theatre Performance or BFA acting? When I first applied to Purchase I put BA Theatre & Performance. They sent me an email asking if that was the major I wanted or if I wanted to change it to BFA acting, which I did, but that was before I ever scheduled an audition. I would either call or email them back asking them to clarify what they meant.
