Has any other transfer student recieved an email from UCLA or another UC? Help!

Ok, so I received the following email today. I know that only students who are accepted get transcript request, but they sent me this email for an unofficial one. Is anyone familiar with these types of emails and what they mean?

UCs sometimes ask for unofficial transcripts. It does not mean you were accepted or rejected. They are just asking for more information.

hmm, ok. Don’t know why because I gave them all misinformation already, so it seems strange.

…you gave them misinformation? @rob3gd

Oh no, haha! Sorry, that was a typo! I meant to say “my information.”

Haha, I was going to say, “thats probably why they are asking for your transcript” !

Don’t worry about it, just respond in their time frame and be as detailed as possible

They occasionally ask. As I said earlier, my working theory is a scholarship and they’re verifying GPA, but that’s just a wild guess. Don’t worry about it. But get it to them.

I just got this request yesterday for my transcript from the OOS CC I attended, but not the in state. My theory is that they want to properly evaluate my OOS work because it was non-articulated and on quarter system. Or they are checking to be sure the classes I retook at second CC were equivalents.

At any rate, I have a confusing and long academic history, so I’m not surprised. I’m happy to know they’re still considering me and I’m not already in all the “no” piles.

Yeah that is VERY good news at this point in time.

^^^Agreed

I think of it this way…at least we know they’re looking at our apps. Hopefully, that’s good news. If they weren’t interested, why would they ask? My gosh. Sometimes, I wish that someone who worked this process in the past could spill the beans for us so we wouldn’t have to always guess what things mean; the guessing is killing me.

I’m not really nervous about where I get in or don’t. I have already accepted UCLA isn’t going to happen for me since I saw the admissions info from last years pool. I know I’ll at least get into riverside (my safety).

What I’m nervous about is having one month to pick a school if I get into more than one. And having only four
months to facilitate a job transfer for myself, new job for the bf, and a place to live.

I’m a planner. Big time. Not knowing what city I will be moving to in August is giving me ulcers.

Is it always “unofficial transcripts” they want you to send? they did not specify on mine.

We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an admission decision,
we need the following information from you:

Please scan and attach your transcript from Mount San Jacinto College.

We must receive this information within five days of this message date, or processing of your application may be delayed

If they want it in 5 days, AND it says you can scan, I’m sure unofficial is what they expect. I transfered from MSJC also… Not too many of us here

@2016candles Thanks! nice, go eagles!

@rob3gd and @Bear87‌ summed up my thoughts exactly!
