I'm a student at Broward College with a 3.85 GPA. So far, I have 47 credit hours. I will have 62 by the end if this semester. I sent my application around November. They received my transcript around December. So far, myUCf says:

"An initial official transcript has been received. Please request that a final transcript be sent after completion of all courses completed prior to entering UCF to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111, when available."

This is common practice. You will want to have your school send a final transcript to UCF as soon as you possibly can once you complete your courses for the spring semester. It also wouldn’t hurt to send a follow-up email a few days after having your school send your official transcript to UCF, to let them know that you did it. You will still stand a good chance of being accepted in time for the Fall 2012 semester.

I’m deferred so far. Freshman in college trying to transfer. I know it’s usually hard to get in before you have your AA but my grades are stellar and I’m feeling okay about it right now. I just want to be accepted so bad. My spring semester ends May 4th and I am praying that I won’t be denied before I get my final grades done.

Me: -2 out of state AAS’s with a GPA around 3.9+
-during fall 2011, 30 credits towards Florida AA completed with 4.0GPA
-after fall 2011, 46 credits now completed with 4.0GPA
-will have AA completed at end of this spring semester, but staying in CC for summer to complete all lower division courses for my major

I applied for Fall and all of my documents/transcripts were recieved by the 1st week of November. My status was the same as yours all the way into January. I called and asked if I should be sending an updated transcript with my Fall grades since I haven’t been accepted yet. They said yes and that it would “help” me, however, they also said it would put my application back on the bottom of the pile. My new transcript was received 2 weeks ago today. Status is the same.

I just checked with UCF and they don’t start reviewing AA Transfer Applications for the fall semester until near the end of the spring semester. Which makes sense considering the Fall Transfer application deadline is July. So it’ll be a couple of months.

I applied in early February as an Mechanical Engineering major and just found out yesterday afternoon that I was accepted.

Overall GPA: 2.94
Pre-Prof: 2.5

But that’s only because I have only had 1 semester of college and received a “C” in Calculus 2.

I finally got accepted into UCF. This is what they posted.

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to UCF for the Fall 2012 term. Your acceptance is contingent upon earning an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public institution or earning 60 transferable semester hours of credit with at least a 2.5 gpa from the last institution attended, as well as overall, two college level courses in both math and english with a grade of ‘C’ or better in each and successful completion of two consecutive years of the same foreign language in high school or eight semester hours of the same foreign language in college.
You may now register for orientation at [UCF First Year Experience - (407) 823-5105](http://www.orientation.ucf.edu)
We look forward to you joining us at UCF!

UCF was slow, but I am happy as can be right now.

Congrats Joal! Was your status updated today??

Hello,
I applied for the Fall semester, however I am still waiting. I have one question, did any of you (transfer students) send an essay? My application did not asked me for an essay… did I made a mistake? Also, did any of you send recommendations forms? Thanks

My app didn’t ask for an essay, and didn’t require recommendation forms…I applied for Fall as well… I have one school that says initial transcript has been received, please send final transcript when final grades are posted… Will they make a decision w/o the final transcript??

I also applied for Fall 2012 admissions and didn’t have to include an essay. How long does it take for UCF to make a decision? Good luck to everyone else applying!

I heard they make decisions on a rolling basis but won’t start reviewing until Spring term grades come out… So around mid April/early May I’m guessing…
