Local Area Transfer Applicant here. 3.51GPA, biz finance with alt econ, so far I’ve made it to their final round of admissions and their phone system says they’re waiting to receive my transcripts.

My transcripts must have just got there, because my message reverted back to the ‘we received your application message’

what does the rejection msg sound like?

My son called the automated message number today and learned that he had been accepted. The telephone response said he had to change his pin to continue hearing the information, so he did, but now he can’t log into his account on the website. He hasn’t received an email or anything by mail, however. When I called the admissions office, they said their goal is let everyone know by April 1st.

April is sooo far away… (I feel like a large ball of nerves waiting for admissions decisions, and every time I see a new emil or get a letter, I think my heart stops beating for a second)

@jgotteach

is your son in state or out of state?

What’s your sons gpa and sat too?

I just got in!

are you in state or out of state
whats your gpa and sat seanfreaky

I just called the automated number and the recording says something like letters have been mailed.
I am out of state New York
GPA is 3.3 unweighted GPA, I have several AP classes and a college level English class
SAT total around 1600.

What do you all think?

I tried logging on to “mycsulb”, put in my campus id and my pw and I got a message saying that I cannot log in. Does that mean that I am rejected? I havent received a letter yet, but I thought if I was accepted the system would allow me to log in.

Thoughts?

Sofaraway…How did you find out? When?

I checked my MyCSULB account on Tuesday and found out that I had been accepted (yay me!).
I live in Bellflower, California and I can drive to CSULB in fifteen minutes using surface streets only.
When I turned in my application I had a 2.95 GPA with SAT scores of 490 Reading, 580 Mathematics, 520 Writing, and 1590 total.
I also sent in my ACT scores (25 composite).
They give preference to local students and also base it off of your high school’s relationship to the college. Pretty much everyone at my school seems to get into CSULB.

Congrats natamean. Thanks for the info

Got letter today. SAT 2270, ACT 33. Major Theatre Arts. This school was my safety. It has an outstanding theatre department, and I would have been happy to enroll here if I hadn’t gotten in at any of my top choices. I’ll be declining, making a spot for one of you.

Congratulations Violetsky! With SAT scores and ACT scores like yours, you deserve to get in! Best of luck!

My son is from Northern California. I think his unweighted GPA was 3.6. His SAT scores are 1830/2400. Still no letter or email and he can’t log into his account! The only way he knew he was accepted was from calling the automated voicemail and entering his student ID#

Good luck to everyone. I think it’s taking them a long time to respond to everyone because they have so many applications. I found this info on their website.

[CSULB News and Events](http://cf.papubs.csulb.edu/news-events/story.cfm?hackid=1276)

“CSULB led the CSU system in first-time freshman applications with 47,683 received. That number is nearly 2,000 more than last year’s 45,734 first-time freshman total. The campus also received the largest number of transfer student applications with 21,973, a whopping 48.6 percent increase over last year’s 14,785. In fact, over the last two years, transfer student applications have risen a staggering 84.9 percent (11,883 for fall 2008 to 21,973 for fall 2010), primarily due to the campus closing admissions to transfer students during its spring semester the last two years.”
