Has anybody had a US History book besides Pageant?

My school uses the textbook "The American Experiment" by Gillon and Matson. Has anybody else here used it? I'm concerned about how well it presents the information, if it actually DOES contain all that you need to know, or perhaps it has too much superflous info?

Basically, general reviews of the book? I seem to know see tons of reviews on The American Pageant but I haven't even heard a murmur of The American Experience. It definitely worries me.

I had a poorly known textbook as well: Out of Many. I ended up not reading it, but rather used the notes I took from lectures to study for class tests, and solely AMSCO to study for the AP test. Got a 5.

I used Nation of Nations. I liked it.

We use Alan Brinkley’s American History. It has everything you need to know and more. Therefore, I ended up doing some skimming.

I think the non-AP US History class at my school uses The American Pageant. I was unaware that this was normal an APUSH textbook.

We had Out of Many and John Newman’s United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination.

^ aka AMSCO

Our county uses The Enduring Vision. It’s a bit dry (hey, it’s a textbook) but presents all the information in an easy-to-learn way. In addition, I used AMSCO to prepare for the AP. It felt like AMSCO just summarized everything in the textbook, so it helped me remember bits of info from autumn.
