A past post said GSP notifications went out as early as February 2, so I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything yet.

I have not heard yet but I hope to hear soon!!!

"I have not heard yet but I hope to hear soon!!!"

lol...
shouldn't you be hoping not to hear?
Don't you want to get into CAS (or what ever college within NYU you applied to)?

I have a 3.6 and a sat of 760v, 570m...I am not getting into CAS. boo math. ;-)

Looking forward to GSP is nothing bad. It's actually a pretty incredible program. They have small classes and great teachers. It is a way to ease into the whole college experience. In regard to some of the people being so dumb you wonder how they got in will happe, but there are some very intelligent people as well. It is what you make of it!

GSP should be out within the next week!!! (If last year is any indication)

Who gets the GSP? "All" people who don't get in CAS ?

what is CAS?

college of arts & science

No. Only a limited number of people who do not get into their college of choice are selected for GSP.

And by limited she means very, very few.

Less than 10% of rejected students get a GSP referral.

how is that very, very few? my calculations say that would be over a 1000 people getting GSP for this year. very, very few doesnt imply that

Stoneecold, I'm not the one who said 'very very few'. I was simply giving you the usual percentage referred. Keep in mind that the vast majority of those are CAS applicants.

Well, very few in regards to how many people applied and were denied.

This year it was between 6%-7%

I got into the GSP Program with the first year in London.

maneetchoksi, that is so cool. when did you find out?

rmellor62, i found out a while ago, i think on december 15th, I applied ED to Stern, but i got into GSP instead with the first year in london. Apparently they're only referring 20-25 students from Stern this year to GSP and all of them are doing their first year in London. I'm not sure if that's true but i read it on some website. Anyways I also applied to Babson and I got in with a Presidential Scholarship. Where do you think I should go, NYU but with two years in GSP or Babson where i can get into business right away and have a scholarship for half tuition?

maneetchoksi, I don't mean to question your truthfulness but I don't know anyone at NYU or Stern who knows anything about what you've posted here. GSP students who study for the first year abroad are generally international students and they do it in Florence, not London. So yeah, not really buying this. Also, the chances of you being referred to GSP from Stern if you were good enough to get a Presidential Scholarship from Babson are slim. How did you apply E.D. to two schools? That's not allowed. And it's certainly not possible to keep both schools waiting until February to decide whether you're going or not. If you got in E.D. to either you would have had to make your decision long before now.
