Has anybody looked into majoring in Environmental Economics?

Good minors to go with that major would include business, environmental science, or political science/public policy/environmental policy. From the title of your proposed major, I’m guessing that it’s in an agricultural economics department. Often, majors in the ag college require some core courses in basic science and ag, or (in the case of an ag econ dept), some basic business courses. If your dept. has one or both of these requirements, this could address the prerequisite courses for a minor in either a business or environmental science.

More students, who attend landgrant public universities, should consider the course offerings in ag econ. depts. Not only is ag econ and food policy an important subject in its own right, but these departments often have relevant courses in international trade, environmental economics and policy, development economics, land economics, commodity futures, etc.
