Has anybody started hearing back from RD yet?

I know it says pretty much all notifications are released "by mid March" but has anyone already heard from RD? I'm hurtingg from anxiety! :) Much thanks!

don’t hurt too much; you still have some time…usually second Friday night in March at around 5:00 PM…soooo, my estimate this year is…March 12th which actually corresponds to the last day before Syracuse’ spring break this year…and as with ED, decisions are not all posted at the same time…they dribble out over the course of a few weeks…

Yes I have, I recieved my acceptance letter by email, which I am rather surprised. I never knew Syracuse will reply so early…

for RD?? already???

Are you sure that it was an acceptance and not an email regarding your application?
The admissions page on the website is quite clear that RD acceptances are not expected until March.

^^Eytukan is international…diff deadlines for notification…

When my daughter was accepted (2006) she got a phone call in the evening. The letter came soon after. I wonder if they’re still doing that. I think it was early to mid-March.

Oh, sorry rodney, that’s what you meant at 5:00. The phone call.

Last year, my daughter received notification of RD acceptance on Friday, March 13 at exactly 6pm. She logged on to her Syracuse admissions account and the letter was there.

actually, the 5:00 was in reference to the online account…phone call was actually to me (and I was sworn to secrecy!!)…I didn’t want to be the one to tell my daughter; actually turned out to be a good move…

Hey I got my acceptance from Syracuse RD on Feb 14th.
I don’t really know if it really is an acceptance email, it’s heading was chat with Syracuse university online, and then it started of saying congratulations on your admission.
I was quite shocked since I just recently applied to Syracuse, and I still haven’t sent out my transcripts or recommendations.
Please let me know if you know anything.
Thank you.

I also am an international student and got my acceptance letter two weeks ago in e-mail. Then I got paper acceptance letter like two or three days right after.

Can you clarify how acceptances are communicated: is it posted on MySlice, emailed, mailed via postal service, or a combination of the above? Thanks.

@marjorie09 i’m wondering the same thing! i saw this ridiculously entertaining youtube vid of this guy documenting his entire day of getting his syracuse newhouse acceptance and he got it via email… does the admissions office call your house too?

email…

How do you check application status on website. He has netid and password for myslice

My admissions contact at Syracuse (my interviewer) told me decisions were going to start to be mailed out in mid-March, but we knew this already. They are in rounds. Students receive both an email and a letter, the email comes first.

I just got mine through email.

Seems like Architecture is getting their letter earlier than applicants for other schools in Syracuse.
